Research
My research focuses mostly on personal relationships and the goods that these relationships make available to us. In my PhD thesis, I am concerned with understanding what may compromise access to various relationship goods, or cause inequalities in their distribution. Additionally, I am thinking about the role that the state, society and individuals might play in remedying situations of difficult or unequal access. In doing so, I also consider the ways in which our personal relationships are affected by wider social phenomena like social norms and stereotypes and moral phenomena like leniency.

I am currently working on papers on the following topics:

-
Social norms and the unequal distribution of parental love
-
The (dis)value of leniency in personal relationships
-
Sociability duties and the question of "demandingness"
